Over the last 35 years, Larry Hochman has had one of the busiest and most extensive careers in the music business, as composer, arranger, conductor and producer.
His work encompasses recordings, concerts, television, feature films, TV commercials, theatre, and even an award-nominated video game. He is an award-winning composer (Five EMMYs for The Wonder Pets!) and orchestrator (TONY award for The Book of Mormon), and the artists he has collaborated with include Barbra Streisand, Hugh Jackman, Barry Manilow, Marvin Hamlisch and Sir Paul McCartney.
His classical compositions have been performed worldwide, and his arranging assignments have come from [or “he has worked with”] The New York Philharmonic, The Boston Pops, The Big Apple Circus, Disney, Stephen Spielberg, and Nickelodeon – to name but a few.
During the 80’s & 90’s, he and Larry Gates were co-founders and co-producers of Newfound Music Productions, producing hundreds of radio and TV commercials, including the iconic (and multi-award winning) Toys ‘R’ Us and Kodak campaigns.
Since the mid-90’s he has become one of Broadway’s most sought after orchestrators, having received five TONY nominations for shows including Monty Python’s Spamalot, The Addams Family, and winning the TONY for The Book of Mormon, which performs in New York, London, and around the world. [Barbara – this is repetitious from paragraph 2].
Larry’s original orchestral music is used in radio TV, and films on a daily basis worldwide.
